The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) stands as a testament to the Australian government's commitment to ensuring that individuals living with a permanent or significant disability can lead a vibrant, autonomous life. It's a comprehensive approach to providing financial support for essential services that facilitate day-to-day living and ease the transition through major life stages.
If you're an Australian resident, aged between 7 and 65, and experiencing a disability that impacts your ability to enjoy life fully, you might be eligible for NDIS support. Qualifying for this funding opens the door to collaborating with accredited NDIS providers like Sienna Care, where you'll find a range of high-quality services designed to bolster your physical, emotional, and social health, aligning with your personal aspirations.
If you are between 7 and 65 years old, live in Australia as a citizen or permanent resident, or Protected Special Category Visa holder and are living with disability, you are most likely eligible for NDIS funding. Check your eligibility with the NDIS here.
There are two ways to apply for NDIS funding:
In both cases you will need documentation to prove your age, your residency and your disability.
A provider is an individual or organisation that provides support as a product or service to NDIS participants.
Yes, Sienna Care provides friendly, caring disability workers that come to your home and offer in-home support services. This can include help with mobility, hygiene, feeding and toileting and more. This can be offered 24/7 if you require
As part of our capacity building supports, we can help you find and maintain employment. We can also assist with transport to and from work if needed.
A support coordinator is funded by the NDIS to help you understand your NDIS plan better, and to help coordinate the supports you're receiving. We offer support coordination so you can navigate the NDIS and your providers, allowing you to exercise choice and control over your individualised supports.
Speak to your provider or support coordinator if you want to change something in your plan and they will liaise with the NDIS on your behalf. You are entitled to a plan review once every 12-24 months. If your needs change sooner you can request an internal plan review.
You can choose to be self-manged (manage your own funds), plan-managed (have a plan manager handle your spending and bill payments), or NDIA-managed (be managed by the NDIA and have access only to registered providers).
If you have checked your eligibility and have been approved for funding by the NDIS you can get started with Sienna Care by calling 0405590552 or filling out our contact form.
